The tour includes:

- A personalized private tour for your group or for you alone. It's a once in a lifetime experience to see moose and other wildlife in Finland.

- A great guide (me!).

- Transportation from Helsinki. This includes pick up from your hotel and drop off back to your destination in Helsinki. We will travel approximately 45-60 minutes from Helsinki and back.

- In June, July and August there is a moose guarantee: you will get your money back if we do not see a moose. So far we have seen several moose on every tour.

- Hiking in a beautiful moss-covered forest with a possibility to pick up blueberries and other wild berries (in late July and August).

- There is a chance to see birds such as white-tailed eagles, northern goshawks, cranes, ravens, owls and various water birds such as eiders, swans, and geese. During bird migration seasons especially in April-May and September there are great numbers of birds.

- If you don’t own a big camera or a big lens, I will provide a couple of professional quality photos of the wildlife we see for you to share with your friends or followers on social media.

The tour lasts approximately four to five hours. We will depart from Helsinki at 6 or 7 p.m. and we will be back in Helsinki around 11 p.m. If you would like to have an even longer tour, ask about this. It is a private tour for your own group of 1-4 people. Prices for the tour depend on how many people there are in your group:

1 person: 350 euros.

2 persons: 190 euros per person.

3 persons: 170 euros per person.

4 persons: 150 euros per person.

Taxes are included in these prices. Prices are the same for adults and children, but this is negotiable. Ask for a discount for your kids! The tour is not well suited for small children under the age of six. Unfortunately, larger groups are difficult to arrange. The roads we travel are small and require a relatively small car and wildlife is best observed in a small group.

Time permitting we also visit the shores of the Baltic Sea to see beautiful landscapes as well as marks left by the last ice age on Finnish nature. It is also possible to have a swim in the cold sea! It is very refreshing and you are guaranteed to forget any worries you might have had.

Early morning tours are sometimes possible, but this requires getting up from your bed very early as moose are active around 4 to 6 in the morning.

Check for availability and make your reservation by sending a message using the form below. If for any reason you are unable to send a message using the form, email to helsinki.moose@gmail.com or call +358 50 542 88 44.

A note to cruise ship passengers: unfortunately moose are inactive and difficult to see during the day when ships typically stop in Helsinki. Do come back with more time to go on a moose safari!
