Update on December 8th, 2022: It's a good idea to make a reservation early for the 2023 summer season. Last minute arrangements are sometimes possible, but not always.

The tour includes:

- A personalized private tour for your group or for you alone. It's a once in a lifetime experience to see moose and other wildlife in Finland.

- A great guide (me!).

- Transportation from Helsinki. This includes pick up from your hotel and drop off back to your destination in Helsinki. We will travel approximately 45-60 minutes from Helsinki and back.

- A visit to a beautiful moss-covered forest with a possibility to pick up bilberries (European blueberries) and other wild berries (in late July and August).

- There is a chance to see birds such as white-tailed eagles, northern goshawks, cranes, ravens, owls and various water birds such as eiders, swans, and geese. During bird migration seasons especially in April-May and September there are great numbers of birds.

- If you don’t own a big camera or a big lens, I will provide a couple of professional quality photos of the wildlife we see for you to share with your friends or followers on the social media.

- Let me know if you would like to try really wild swimming. Some visitors to Moose Safari have taken a dip in the waters of the (usually) cold Baltic Sea during the tour. It is a great experience!

The tour lasts approximately four to five hours. We will depart from Helsinki at 7 p.m. and we will be back in Helsinki around 11 p.m. It is a private tour for your own group of 1-4 people. Prices for the tour start from 120 euros per person and depend on how many people there are in your group.

Early morning tours are sometimes possible, but this requires getting up from your bed very early as moose are active around 4 to 6 in the morning.

Check for availability and make your reservation by sending a message using the form below. If for any reason you have trouble sending a message using the contact form, please email to or call +358 50 542 88 44.

Please remember to press the "send e-mail" button after answering the questions below!

A note to cruise ship passengers: unfortunately moose are inactive and difficult to see during the day when ships typically stop in Helsinki. Do come back with more time to go on a moose safari!
